Not a cake...

I know I usually post cakes but I want to share a project I did for Michelle Cope from 

www.m-funk.blogspot.com. Michelle's dad had written a children's book a while back about taking his grandchildren on walks. For Father's Day, she found his rough drafts and gave them to me to illustrate. Here are my favorite pages;

Going Metallic

This is a bridal shower cake that we made. We finally figured out the metallic gold thing thanks to Kayley and Tonya Gardner. I was inspired by the golden birthday cake that Tonya made for Kayley. 

The secret? Wilton edible gold spray on a dark base of buttercream or fondant. The dark tone verses the white makes the spray gold instead of yellow.

Just designed these invites for a baby shower that Sharon Bee is throwing.

We did the little anchor smash cakes and requested that the cute twins be in the 

pictures we got back from the event!

Baby Boy

Baby boy shower cake for my dear friend Alix Ouimet who I worked with at 

Color Me Mine and Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. 

Her cute sister Ani designed the cake and took the pictures for me.
